Imagine yourself waking up one morning and pouring your first cup of coffee.
You glance out the window and then you take a second look because during the night, someone pitched a tent in your back yard!
You slide the patio door open and walk through the wet leaves. You pause to listen and can hear someone in the tent whistling. And out steps…
In his gospel, John writes that Jesus “dwelt” among us. “The Word [Jesus] became flesh and dwelt among us and we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth…” John 1:14 NASB
I found out that “dwelt” can be translated “tabernacle” or “to pitch a tent.”
May the reality of Jesus pitching his tent in our backyard fill us with awe and wonder.
